The Cairn Club
A Golf Club, Uncomplicated
The Cairn Club is rooted in pure golf, natural beauty, and good company. An uncomplicated place to play, connect, and enjoy the game as it was meant to be.
About
The Cairn Club is the vision of three partners whose backgrounds in golf course design, agronomy, construction, and club operations bring a unique perspective to the project. Golf course architect Bruce Hepner of Hepner Golf Design leads the design of the course, with an emphasis on thoughtful, natural golf that responds to the land. Gene Davis, a Michigan State University Turfgrass Management graduate, brings more than two decades of golf course management experience. Don Smith brings extensive construction and project-management experience, along with a practical, hands-on approach to bringing the club's vision to life. Together, the partners share a simple goal: create an exceptional golf experience that feels natural, uncomplicated, and distinctly Northern Michigan.
Membership Opportunities
The Cairn Club offers a limited opportunity to become part of something special from the beginning. Membership is for those who value pure golf, good company, and a relaxed approach to the game—while sharing in the story of a club built with purpose in Northern Michigan.
